Why is there a price to join?
AMSA is a national association that is in charge of all pre-medical chapters on a national level. In order to be a member of a local chapter (Grossmont), AMSA requires that all participants also be a part of the national association.
The $75 fee is for the purchase of an AMSA membership, this allows you to be a part of the AMSA community. This membership will be good for up to 5 (five) years.

In order for you to join a local chapter, like the one at Grossmont College, you will need to pay an additional local chapter fee. This goes towards club events, resources, apparel, and more!
When and where do I make the $75 and $10.00 fees?
Both payments must be made so that you can join the Grossmont chapter. The $75 fee is paid to AMSA when you purchase their national membership through their site here. The $12.50 fee is paid in person in cash to the Grossmont Chapter at any bi-weekly meeting. The sooner the better so we can get you on the official chapter roster.

If you already own an AMSA National Membership, please provide us with your AMSA ID on the application below. If you do not have one please purchase one as soon as possible so that you can be a member of our club.
What are the eligibility requirements to join?
There are no eligibility requirements. Which means any GPA is welcome and you do not have to take any specific classes
once you have paid the local dues and purchesed your AMSA membership you are welcome.
